Catholic Mothers Ireland is designed to support women in the many roles we have in life as mothers, wives, daughters, sisters and friends.

It is a ministry about women bonded by their vocation and their Catholic Faith who come together to share the joys and struggles of motherhood.

The group is loyal to the Church and the Magisterium.

It is hoped that through the group we will come to a deeper understanding of our Faith and draw closer to Jesus.

Orare Atque Nurture

Our Motto, Orare Atque Nurture, meaning, To Pray and Nurture, is inspired by the life and example of Our Lady who pondered and treasured the mystery of God and His ways (Prayer – Contemplation) and who lived a life of nurturing others (Her Son – Her Family – the Disciples – the Church).

As Catholic Mothers we too are called to nurture the Seed of the Word of God within ourselves, each other, our children and family, local parishes and broader society.

Our Faith and Spirituality

  • Marian Devotion and Consecration
  • Eucharistic: Holy Mass and Adoration
  • Intercessory Prayer through the Communion of Saints
  • Praying for Families
  • The Bible and the Catechism: Growing in Faith and Understanding
  • To learn from each other in the practical daily life of a mother. Sharing recipes, parenting tips and other skills we have within the group

Our Aims and Goals

  • Our own sanctification and the sanctification of our families.
  • Mutual support and encouragement in our vocation of motherhood. To discover the true meaning of being a Catholic mother.
  • To grow in understanding of the Word of God and Church teaching (Scripture study, catechesis) and to live out our faith more fully in our families and the world.
