Pilgrims of Hope

Last May, Pope Francis announced that the theme for the Jubilee 2025 as ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ (Spes non Confundit – Hope Does Not Disappoint).

This theme of hope encourages each of us to be messengers of hope in our very troubled world.  Everyone is invited to participate in this special year of faith.

Croagh Patrick, Lough Derg and Knock are three well-known Irish sanctuaries that have offered hope to pilgrims across the generations.

For Jubilee Year 2025, each diocese in Ireland will nominate a local pilgrimage site, and the Irish Bishops Conference have designated these three as national pilgrimage sites.

The invitation has been made to make pilgrimage to all three shrines over the course of the Jubilee Year 2025.  Pilgrims will be issued with a passport and will receive a stamp at each site on completion of their pilgrimage.

Catholic Mothers Ireland will be making a pilgrimage to each of these Shrines over the year as part of our Anniversary celebrations.

30th May – 3-day Pilgrimage to Loughderg.

6th July – Climb of Croagh Patrick with Mass at the top.

Knock Shrine – Date TBC
